This is a very low fat curry with traditional look. It can be served with rice as a side dish.
Ingredients:
Bottleguard 1 cup cut into pieces
2 cups milk
chana dal 1/2 spoon
urid dal 1/2 spoon
salt to taste
Red Chilies 2
mustard seeds 1/2 spoon
curry leaves a few
oil 2 spoons
Procedure:
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, urid dal, chana dal, red chillies and curry leaves.
- After it starts to sputter add bottle gourd pieces to the pan.
- Saute until they are soft, add salt and milk to it.
- Cover the pan with a lid until they are properly cooked. switch off the flame as soon as you see the curry turns creamy.
Serve hot with rice and ghee.
